Introducing v2 of the Duffel API

Today, we are excited to announce that we have released v2 of our API. A lot has changed since we released v1 in October 2022 and v2 contains many features and improvements, big and small!

What’s different from v1 to v2?

There are many changes in v2 and they can be summarised as: removing our deprecated fields in the API, an enhancement to our cancellation endpoint to allow hundreds more airlines to be cancelled through the API, simplifying our webhook structures, and improvements to the API when paying with card to reduce failures and improve the failure experience.

How do I migrate from v1 to v2?

We’ve written a migration guide to walk you through the very simple process of updating your integration from v1 to the v2 version.

When will I have to migrate by?

In 6 months - on 23 January 2025.

What about the Duffel dashboard?

We have not updated the dashboard to use v2 of our API yet. It will be updated in the coming days and we will send out an update as soon as it is.
